	Material There are many different types of cardboard to choose from, with a range of thicknesses to satisfy every need: Microtriplo E+B flute white cardboard 4 mm: a corrugated cardboard panel with smooth white surfaces and a double-flute cardboard core. More durable and rigid than the Double Wall E+E flute white cardboard. Designs larger than 149 x 229 cm will be divided into multiple panels
	Compact pressboard 1.6 mm: a white pressed cardboard panel with smooth white surfaces. It is extremely thin and durable. Designs larger than 145 x 290 cm will be divided up into multiple panels
	Doublewall E+E Flute white cardboard 2.3 mm: a panel with smooth white surfaces and a double-flute cardboard core. Designs larger than 150 x 225 cm will be divided up into multiple panels
	Board coated on one side 550 gsm: an affordable, 100% cellulose cardboard panel with excellent print quality. Designs larger than 140 x 155 cm will be divided up into multiple panels
	White honeycomb cardboard 10 mm: a cardboard panel comprising a honeycomb structure core covered by two layers of extra-thick kraft cardboard. A responsible, durable and rigid material. Designs larger than 190 x 290 cm will be divided up into multiple panels.
	White cardboard E flute 1.4 mm: an extremely fit single-flute cardboard panel with smooth white surfaces. Designs larger than 110 x 160 cm will be divided up into multiple panels
	Brown 1.8 mm E-flute cardboard: corrugated cardboard with brown kraft paper surfaces that ensure excellent durability and print quality. Please note that white ink cannot be printed on this material, and colors may appear slightly altered due to the brown base. Also, consider that the material's colour is the result of the natural paper fibre used, and thus may vary between shipments. Designs larger than 110 x 160 cm will be divided up into multiple panels
	2.7 mm B-flute cardboard: white corrugated cardboard with coated front and back surfaces, ensuring excellent durability and print quality. Designs larger than 110 x 160 cm will be divided up into multiple panels
	Brown 2.7 mm B-flute cardboard: corrugated cardboard with brown kraft paper surfaces that ensure excellent durability and print quality. Please note that white ink cannot be printed on this material, and colors may appear slightly altered due to the brown base. Also, consider that the material's colour is the result of the natural paper fibre used, and thus may vary between shipments. Designs larger than 110 x 160 cm will be divided up into multiple panels
	Dispa® 3.8 mm: a very light and durable white cardboard panel with a double-flute core and smooth white surfaces which allows printing on both sides. Designs larger than 145 x 290 cm will be divided up into multiple panels Thanks to their light weight, these materials are really easy to handle and even suitable for crafting: if you need to cut the material on your own and create something new, we suggest using a milling cutter. Please note that only Dispa ® 3.8 mm can be printed on both sides (same or different printing); with this material you can create double-sided boards to be hung from the ceiling up to 290 x 145 cm.
	Formats From the smallest plaque to the largest panel, we offer cardboard printing in a variety of customised sizes. The minimum printable size is 14 x 14 cm, and you can find the maximum printable size (in one piece) for each material above. Use the “i” icons available for each material to discover the smallest and largest size we can print in one panel. Larger artworks will be split into multiple panels, each of the same size, to be displayed side by side with no overlap. It’s true, there’s no limit to your customisation with Pixartprinting as a partner, but if you’re wondering which sizes are the most used, we also offer you various standard formats to choose from. Want to go with an extra customisation of your sign? Select the custom shape option to give it your own unique format! Print a directional sign in the shape of an arrow, design a panel following the edge of your product to attract visitors and customers, or just get creative with a circle or any shape you like your signage! Please note that we can only handle an external personalised cut to shape following the path you provide on the file you send us, not internal or multiple cuts.
	Accessories & varnish If you’re wondering how to locate your cardboard panel, we offer you multiple solutions to hang it on a wall or other flat surfaces: Holes: 9 mm diameter holes along the perimeter to easily fix your panel (screws not included). When ordering, specify how many hangers you need and where to place them: starting from the corners, they’ll be placed at equal distances from each other
	Repositionable sticker kit: 4 removable and repositionable double-sided stickers that avoid having to drill into your walls. Sticker thickness: 3.5 mm. Individual sticker dimensions: 2.5 x 2.5 cm
	Double-sided adhesive hanging kit: one piece to be attached to the back of the printing, and the other to the wall, allowing for easy and quick panel interchange on the same surface. We also provide screws, and wall plugs for an extra strength, to be used on uneven surfaces if the panel doesn’t adhere perfectly to the wall. Elements are provided for all 4 corners. Distance from the wall: 5 mm. Please use a drill cutter to avoid damaging the material
	Adjustable hanging kit: an invisible kit made of triangular plates, to be attached to the back of the panel with double-sided tape, along with screws and plugs to hang it on the wall. Once you’ve fixed the plates to the panel, insert the screw into the wall, hang the panel, and adjust the angle (up to 45°) to ensure it’s straight. Elements are provided for 2 corners. Distance from the wall: 15 mm
	Self-adhesive spacer kit: 4 elements made of clear polycarbonate triangular plates to be attached to the back of the panel and silver nickel spacers. This kit, designed for easy fixation, includes removable side pieces to ensure the correct distance from the edge of the panel. Use double-sided tape to mark drill holes on the wall, then screw the nickel spacers in place. Finally, press gently to secure the panel to the wall. Distance from the wall: 20 mm
	Classic spacer kit: 4 silver-coloured aluminium spacers with a self-locking screw cup (outer diameter 13 mm, total length 23 mm), ideal for attaching plaques, signs, boards etc. to walls. The pre-drilled panel will be at a 19 mm distance from the wall Please note that accessories may not be available for some combinations of material and dimension: the website only displays the options available according to your quote. And for a stunning shine, add our glossy varnish to your panel. Not only will it enhance your design, but it will also protect the print from scratches. Please remember cardboard is not suitable to outdoor use if the panel is exposed to the weather.

FAQ

• How can I hang a cardboard panel?

You can easily hang it on a wall or another plain surface using the accessories we provide on the website: choose the option that best suits your needs from the ones described above. Please note that accessories can only be requested together with the panel and not separately.

• How to discover if my order will be divided into panels?

By checking the information under the “i” icon (after selecting the material you want to print), you’ll find out the maximum size for a single panel. Larger artworks will be mandatorily divided into multiple equal-sized panels, to be hung side by side, without any overlapping. Designer and template provided can give you a general idea of how the division may work: please consider it as a rough guideline; due to production needs the division in panels may be different. As for the file, no need to worry: our team will automatically take care of the splitting during production. Therefore, we kindly ask you to send us a single complete design, without dividing it into multiple files.

• Is cardboard suitable for outdoor use?

No, cardboard is specifically designed for indoor use only. For outdoor signage, go with aluminium or plexiglass.

• Are the side edges of the panel printed?

No, the edges are not printable. Their color and appearance may vary depending on the type of cardboard selected, as each material has a different internal structure and composition.

• Does carboard have visible ridges on its surface? Are they always vertical?

Yes, depending on the type of cardboard chosen, you may see light ridges on the surface. These might be parallel or perpendicular to your design and can vary in direction and intensity according to the size of your printing and other production needs. It’s not possible to choose their direction.

• Is it possible to write on the panel?

Yes, you can write on the panel, even if varnished, with a permanent marker.

• Can I have one or more internal cuts?

At the moment, we only provide a single external cut. Also, you can have a customised cut shape for the external cut.

• How do you pack panels?

Panels are packed in thick, corrugated cardboard with robust protective corners. If you order more than one panel, they may be packed all together or separately. It is not possible to ask for a customised packaging: We always provide the best and safest solution.

• How can I create my panel design?

Use Designer to create your standard shape panel and get inspired by thousands of free models or ask our help through Design Services. If you’re creating your file with a design software, please download the instruction document and the template provided once you enter the quote.
