	Material Foamex is a tough plastic product, made of semi-expanded PVC with a compact white surface available in three different thicknesses: 3 mm 5 mm 10 mm The larger the panel, the thicker we recommend the media- especially for long, tight signs, as the solid plastic material may flex. This material is lightweight yet robust, making it easy to handle and even suitable for crafting. If you need to cut it yourself and create something unique, we suggest using a milling cutter. Forex is durable and offers a bright, smooth surface that ensures vivid colours and high definition. For these reasons, it’s the perfect, and most popular choice, for signs and plaques, informative and advertising boards, and even creative posters and artistic creations, to display both inside and outside. Just consider that, being plastic made, it can be altered by high temperatures and constant sun exposure. Also, foamex can be printed both sides (same or different printing): not only a sing hung on the wall, also double face panels, information to be shared in both directions, creative solutions hanging from the ceiling... we told you: Foam board is a versatile solution! Please note that the maximum dimensions for double-sided printing vary depending on the material: for 3 and 5 mm foamex, the maximum size is 280 x 180 cm, while for 10 mm foamex it is 140 x 140 cm.
	Formats From the smallest plaque to the biggest panel, we’re able to offer you foamex printing in various customised sizes: we can cover your whole walls with foam board from 10 x 10 cm (14 x 14 cm for the 10 mm one) up to whatever dimension you need. Just consider that each material has its own maximum size printable in one panel: larger designs will be divided into multiple panels to hang one close to the other, with no overlapping. Always double check the information available under the “i” icon of the material chosen to check whether your order will be divided or not: foamex can be printed in one panel up to 190 x 290 cm (valid for all the 3 materials available). With Pixartprinting, the possibilities for customisation are endless! But if you’re looking for popular options, we also offer a range of standard formats to choose from.
	Looking for an extra customisation? Choose the custom shape option to create your own unique format! Print a directional sign in the shape of an arrow, design a panel following the edge of your product to attract visitors and customers, or just get creative with a circle or any shape you like your signage! Please note that we can handle an external personalised cut to shape following the path you provide in the file you send us, but we cannot handle internal or multiple cuts.
	Accessories & varnish If you’re wondering how to mount your foamex panel, we offer several solutions for hanging it on a wall or other flat surfaces: Metal hangers: to be gently fixed on the back of the board, by pressing or with the help of a rubber mallet. Hangers come unmounted and you select their number while ordering (suggested at least one hanger every 50 cm)
	Holes: 9 mm diameter holes along the perimeter to easily fix your panel (screws not included). When ordering, specify how many hangers you need and where to place them: starting from the corners, they’ll be placed at equal distances from each other
	Double-sided adhesive hanging kit: one piece to be attached to the back of the printing, and the other to the wall, allowing for easy and quick panel interchange on the same surface. We also provide screws, and wall plugs for an extra strength, to be used on uneven surfaces if the panel doesn’t adhere perfectly to the wall. . Please use a drill cutter to avoid damaging the material. Elements are provided for all 4 corners. Distance from the wall: 5 mm
	Adjustable hanging kit: an invisible kit made of triangular plates, to be attached to the back of the panel with double-sided tape, along with screws and plugs to hang it on the wall. Once you’ve fixed the plates to the panel, insert the screw into the wall, hang the panel, and adjust the angle (up to 45°) to ensure it’s straight. Elements are provided for 2 corners. Distance from the wall: 15 mm
	Self-adhesive spacer kit: 4 elements made of clear polycarbonate triangular plates to be attached to the back of the panel and silver nickel spacers. This kit, designed for easy fixation, includes removable side pieces to ensure the correct distance from the edge of the panel. Use double-sided tape to mark drill holes on the wall, then screw the nickel spacers in place. Finally, press gently to secure the panel to the wall. Distance from the wall: 20 mm
	Classic spacer kit: 4 silver-coloured aluminium spacers with a self-locking screw cup (outer diameter 13 mm, total length 23 mm), ideal for attaching plaques, signs, boards etc. to walls: the pre-drilled panel will be at a 19 mm distance from the wall
	Repositionable sticker kit: 4 removable and repositionable double-sided stickers that avoid having to drill into your walls. Sticker thickness: 3.5 mm. Individual sticker dimensions: 2.5 x 2.5 cm
	Please note that some accessories may not be available for certain material and dimension combinations: the website only displays the options available according to your quote. And for a stunning shine, add our glossy varnish to your panel. Not only will it enhance your design, but it will also protect the print from scratches. If you’re using the foamex board outdoors, we highly recommend the varnish for added durability and protection.

• If you’re looking for plaques to place at the entrance of your office or business, have a look at our dedicated section. We offer plaques made of 5 mm foamex (also available in plexiglass and aluminium), in both standard and custom formats ranging from 14 x 14 cm depending on the shape: choose from rectangle, circle, or oval. Classic and self-adhesive spacers plaques can be mounted parallel to the wall, while flag plaques are designed to be mounted perpendicularly. Please bear in mind that classic plaques are always pre-drilled with holes: if you prefer a plaque without holes, consider the self-adhesive spacers plaque or order a panel from the foamex page
• When in need of a more durable media for your signs, especially for outdoors, we suggest preferring aluminium as more weather resistant and sturdier than foamex. Plus, being a multi-layer panel, it does not flex as much as foam board. Get more information here

FAQ

• How can I hang a foamex panel?

You can easily hang it on a wall or another plain surface using the accessories we provide on the website: choose the option that best suits your needs from the ones described above. Otherwise, you can handle it on your own: if you need to create holes or internal cuts, please use a milling cutter to avoid breaking the foam board. If you've ordered a small panel, which is not too heavy, you could also consider double-sided tape. Please note that accessories can only be requested together with the panel and not separately.

• Are panel stands suitable for foamex?

We don’t suggest using panel stands for foamex as it tends to flex. If supported only from below, the panel could therefore not stand straight.

• How to discover if my order will be divided into panels?

Since the maximum printable size of foamex is 150 x 290 cm, your panel will come in one piece, without panelization. This applies to foamex panels in 3, 5, or 10 mm thickness.

As for the file, no need to worry: our team will automatically take care of the splitting during production. Therefore, we kindly ask you to send us a single complete design, without dividing it into multiple files.

• Is foamex suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, foamex can be used outdoors, being plastic made and therefore weather resistant. Always add varnish to give it extra protection and make it last longer. Please consider that plastic can be altered by the exposure to sun or high temperatures: we suggest using foam board for outdoor signs only for short- and medium-term needs and prefer aluminium for a most durable sign.

• Are the side edges of the panel printed?

No, the edges remain blank, they’re not printable.

• Is it possible to write on the panel?

Yes, you can write on the foamex panel, even if it's varnished, using a permanent marker. However, we do not recommend using the panel as a whiteboard, as erasable markers may leave smudges or damage the print when the ink is removed.

• Can I have one or more internal cuts?

At the moment, we only provide a single external cut. Also, you can have a  customised cut shape for the external cut.

• How do you pack panels?

Panels are packed in thick corrugated cardboard with robust protective corners. If you order more than one panel, they may be packed all together or separately. It is not possible to ask for a customised packaging: We always provide the best and safest solution.

• How can I create my panel design?

Use Designer to create your standard shape panel and get inspired by thousands of free models or ask our help through Design Services. If you’re creating your file with a design software, please download the instruction document and the template provided once you enter the quote.
