If you have chosen to print a product with a custom shape (die-cut), it is important to create the cut path following certain guidelines.
-
The shape must be simple, linear, and closed
-
The path should not contain too many points (vector nodes)
-
The path must be created using the CutContour color swatch and set to overprint
1-2. SIMPLE AND LINEAR SHAPE, WITHOUT TOO MANY VECTOR NODES
To ensure a clean and precise cut, it is important that the path is not overly complex.
If your path contains too many vector points, as shown in the example on the left, please simplify it so that it resembles the image on the right.
3. CUTCONTOUR COLOR SWATCH, OVERPRINT
Assign the CutContour color swatch to the cut path, which is included in the template available for download on the quote page, and enable overprint. For more information, please refer to the instructions for the product you purchased.
If you have ordered a product with a custom shape (die-cut), create a simple, closed vector cut path with a limited number of points to ensure a quality result.
