WE HELP YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT MATERIAL!
	Materials Our foamcore boards are all multi-layer panels. We offer you 3 different materials, 5 and 10 mm thick: Smart-X® 10 mm: with an expanded polystyrene core and solid polystyrene surfaces Foamcore – PVC free 10 or 5 mm: with an expanded polyurethane core and matt white laminated cardboard surfaces, to provide moisture resistance KAPA®tex 5 mm – PVC free: with a high-quality polyurethane core. The latex-coated paper surfaces have an embossed appearance, and perfectly mimic the texture of painting canvas The structure of these panels ensures they won’t flex, even in larger sizes. Choose between 5 mm or 10 mm material, depending on your desired aesthetic and strength. Prefer Smart-X® for outdoor application due to the plastic made external surface. If you want to go green opt instead for foamcore or Kapa®tex that are totally PVC free. Choose Kapa®tex if you want to add an extra feeling to your print: its textured surface is ideal for printing pictures and communication full of colours, it reminds of a canvas print and adds a classy touch to your artwork. Thanks to their lightweight nature, these materials are easy to handle and even great for crafting: if you need to cut the material on your own and create something new, we suggest using a milling cutter. Please note that only foamcore 10 mm can be printed on both sides up to 280 x 135 cm (same or different printing): with this material you can create double sided boards to be hung from the ceiling or to be free standing with the help of panel stands (read below).
	Formats From the smallest plaque to the biggest panel, we’re able to offer you foamcore printing in various customised sizes. Find here maximum and minimum size (in one piece) for each material: Smart-X ®: from 14 x 14 cm up to 190 x 290 cm Foamcore 5 and 10 mm: from 20 x 20 cm up to 147 x 290 cm Kapa®tex: from 20 x 20 cm up to 135 x 290 cm Larger artworks will be divided into multiple panels, each of the same size, to be hung one close to the other, with no overlapping. Help yourself with the “i” of information available for each media to discover the smallest and the largest size we can print in one panel. With Pixartprinting, the possibilities for customization are endless! But if you're looking for popular options, we also offer a range of standard formats to choose from.
	Want to go with an extra customisation of your sign? Select the custom shape option to give it your own unique format! Create a directional sign in the shape of an arrow, design a panel that follows the edge of your product to catch attention, or get creative with any shape! Just a heads-up: we can do external custom cuts based on the file you send, but we can’t process internal or multiple cuts.
	Accessories & varnish If you’re wondering how to locate your foamcore panel, we offer you multiple solutions to hang it on a wall or another plane surface: Metal hangers: to be gently fixed on the back of the board, by pressing or with the help of a rubber mallet. Hangers come unmounted and you select their number while ordering (suggested at least one hanger every 50 cm)
	Holes: 9 mm diameter holes along the perimeter to easily fix your panel (screws not included). When ordering, specify how many hangers you need and where to place them: starting from the corners, they’ll be placed at equal distances from each other
	Double-sided adhesive hanging kit: one piece to be attached to the back of the printing, and the other to the wall, allowing for easy and quick panel interchange on the same surface. We also provide screws, and wall plugs for an extra strength, to be used on uneven surfaces if the panel doesn’t adhere perfectly to the wall. Elements are provided for all 4 corners. Distance from the wall: 5 mm. Please use a drill cutter to avoid damaging the material
	Adjustable hanging kit: an invisible kit made of triangular plates, to be attached to the back of the panel with double-sided tape, along with screws and plugs to hang it on the wall. Once you’ve fixed the plates to the panel, insert the screw into the wall, hang the panel, and adjust the angle (up to 45°) to ensure it’s straight. Elements are provided for 2 corners. Distance from the wall: 15 mm
	Repositionable sticker kit: 4 removable and repositionable double-sided stickers that avoid having to drill into your walls. Sticker thickness: 3.5 mm. Individual sticker dimensions: 2.5 x 2.5 cm
	Self-adhesive spacer kit: 4 elements made of clear polycarbonate triangular plates to be attached to the back of the panel and silver nickel spacers. This kit, designed for easy fixation, includes removable side pieces to ensure the correct distance from the edge of the panel. Use double-sided tape to mark drill holes on the wall, then screw the nickel spacers in place. Finally, press gently to secure the panel to the wall. Distance from the wall: 20 mm Please note that accessories may not be available for some combinations of material and dimension: the website shows only the available options according to your quote.
	If instead of hanging the board you need to have it self-standing, we provide panel stands in two different formats: 20 x 39 cm (covering a 20 x 6 cm area of artwork on the panel) 50 x 39 cm (covering a 50 x 6 cm area of artwork on the panel) We recommend avoiding placing important texts or graphics in the area covered by the accessory. Both the stands are 17 cm high (raise the panel 11 cm off the floor) and can host panels between 5 and 28 mm thick thanks to their adjustable system. For the small model we recommend using one stand every 50 to 80 cm, while the large model can be used on its own. Please note that very high panels tend to flex if only supported from below.
	You can also consider a panel with support, with a sturdy metal base that can be screwed to the lower part of the panel. With a sleek and essential look, this metal support with a 30 cm base provides stability to your foamcore print (available for Foamcore 10 mm – PVC-free, both in standard and customised sizes, from 40x40 cm to 280 x 147 cm). Depending on your selection, one or more supports are offered, as many as necessary to best suppport your panel. You can also order the only print option, in case you have previously purchased the panel with structure and just want to change the graphics: please note that the panel will come pre-drilled at the base to accomodate the same number of metal supports. Choose whether to print front only or front and back (maximum 280 x 137 cm). Ideal for exhibitions, displays, point of sale and communications of all kinds, choose afree-standing product that is both versatile and practical. And for a stunning shine, add our glossy varnish to your panel. Not only will it enhance your design, but it will also protect the print from scratches. If you’re using the foamcore board outdoors, we highly recommend the varnish for added durability and protection. Please note that, due to its textured surface, varnish is not applicable on Kapa®tex.

How can I hang a foamcore panel?

You can easily hang it on a wall or another plain surface using the accessories we provide on the website: choose the option that best suits your needs from the ones described above. Otherwise, you can handle it on your own: if you need to create holes or internal cuts, please use a milling cutter to avoid breaking the foam board. Please note that accessories can only be requested together with the panel and not separately.

How to discover if my order will be divided into panels?

By checking the information under the “i” icon (after selecting the material you want to print), you’ll find out the maximum size for a single panel. Bigger artworks will be mandatorily divided into multiple equal-sized panels, to be hung side by side, without any overlapping. Designer and template provided can give you a general idea of how the division may work: please consider it as a rough guideline; due to production needs the division in panels may be different.

As for the file, no need to worry: our team will automatically take care of the splitting during production. Therefore, we kindly ask you to send us a single complete design, without dividing it into multiple files.

Is foamcore suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, foamcore can be used outdoors. Prefer Smart-X® if the panel is totally exposed to the weather and add varnish to protect the print and make it last longer. Consider aluminium for a most durable sign.

Are the side edges of the panel printed?

No, the edges remain blank, they’re not printable.

Is it possible to write on the panel?

Yes, you can write on the faomcore panel, even if varnished, using a permanent marker. Even if you’re using a dry-erase marker, we can’t guarantee that, when removing the drawing, the printed surface won’t be damaged: we therefore don’t recommend using the panel as a dry-erase board.

Can I have one or more internal cuts?

At the moment, we only provide a single external cut. Also, you can have a customised cut shape for the external cut.

How do you pack panels?

Panels are packed in thick corrugated cardboard with robust protective corners. If you order more than one panel, they may be packed all together or separately. It is not possible to ask for a customised packaging: We always provide the best and safest solution.

How can I create my panel design?

Use Designer to create your standard shape panel and get inspired by thousands of free models or ask our help through Design Services. If you’re creating your file with a design software, please download the instruction document and the template provided once you enter the quote.
