The customization process with exclusive finishing is carried out by applying a transparent polymer, which acts as a base, onto the areas marked in your file using the “Finishing” color swatch. If you have selected gold or silver lamination, a metallic foil (gold or silver) is applied over the transparent polymer. If you have selected 3D Varnish, the polymer is set to create a three-dimensional effect.
If the areas affected by the exclusive finish in your file are too large, the result may be uneven, with surface irregularities that are noticeable both visually and to the touch, as shown in the following example:
If you wish to apply the exclusive finish to certain elements of your design, please follow these guidelines to ensure the best results:
- The area covered by the finish should not exceed 50% of the total printed surface
- For optimal results, apply the finish to small details rather than large areas
- Lines intended for finishing should have a minimum thickness of 1 pt
- Texts to be finished should have a minimum size of 10 pt
- All elements with finishing should be placed within the safe zone, at least 3 mm from the cut line
