Why is it not possible to apply special finishing over fold and cut lines?

If you have selected a special finishing (gold lamination, silver lamination, or 3D varnish), please note that it cannot be applied over fold or cut lines. Indeed, cutting and folding would make these finishes too fragile, potentially damaging them or causing them to peel off.

To avoid these issues, always position the elements with special finishing at least 1 mm away from fold lines and 3 mm away from cut lines in your file.

If you choose special finishes (gold lamination, silver lamination, or 3D varnish), always position the elements you want with this effect at least 1 mm away from fold lines and 3 mm away from cut lines in your file to ensure a good result.
